Short Delta

A trading position that benefits if the underlying instrument (ETF or future) moves down in price. If an option trading position has a negative (short) delta it will make money as the underlying moves down in price. A negative delta of 0.5 means an option trading position will make $50 if the underlying moves down by $1.
