BOE Announcement

BOE Announcement – Meeting of the Bank of England (BOE) that determines interest rate changes for the United Kingdom (UK) economy. From a trading perspective, the minutes are typically distributed to the market at 8am EST on the relevant trading day. From a US stock markets perspective this tends to have less impact (unless US markets are particularly focused on worldwide interest rate policy). However global FX prices can definitively experience increased volatility around the meeting, because the BOE interest policy can significantly affect global expectations for interest direction, and hence currency prices.

DailyFX has a nice calendar of the upcoming BOE announcements and also announcements for other worldwide major central banks.
