Short Put is typically short the near month OTM put to capture monthly income, or short a far month OTM put to capture a longer term bullish view on the stock or ETF. This is a limited upside strategy, with significant downside so isn’t typically traded that much on this site (not a good risk/reward). It is mathematically similar to covered calls (long stock, short call).
